We are excited to partner with five film festivals across India and the UK to organise the annual India-UK Film Festival Federation Symposia and networking events.

This segment will enable a sustainable bilateral forum for festivals in the two countries to trade information and knowledge around how film festivals as cultural institutions, creative industries and organisations have surmounted the impact of Covid-19 and devised resourceful pathways to recovery from the pandemic. The annual symposia events will bring together academic researchers, established and emerging film festival curators and creative industries representatives to engage in various important themes, ranging from the shifting role of film festivals in the post Covid era amidst the rising influence of digital streaming, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Extended Reality (XR) technologies in the film sector, to the project’s connecting themes of youth participation, shared and distinct aspects of cinema-based cultural heritage and community engagement in the UK and India.
